France is home to the International Chamber of Commerce, and is viewed around the world as a major center for international arbitration. Due to its importance to international arbitration, any changes made to French arbitration law are of great interest to legal practitioners around the world. In January 2011 the French government issued Decree No. 2011-48 of 13 January 2011 concerning changes to French arbitration law. The goal of the Decree is to reform French domestic and international arbitration.
